Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travelling Private Chef to support a private UHNW family across multiple residences and international travel. This role suits a calm, highly organised professional with proven experience working in private households, chalets, villas, and yachts, and who is comfortable adapting to changing travel plans. When the family are not travelling, the role is based at either their London or Surrey residence, working a Thursday–Monday schedule. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and deliver high-quality daily meals tailored to family preferences and dietary requirements.• Plan menus across a range of cuisines with confidence and flexibility.• Alongside the other chefs, manage provisioning and sourcing of ingredients in the UK and internationally.• Work collaboratively with permanent UK-based chefs to ensure consistency and continuity.• Deliver professional service in private homes, chalets, villas, and yachts.• Maintain excellent food hygiene, organisation, and kitchen standards.• Adapt to short-notice changes in travel, guest numbers, or schedules.• Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times.• Travel requirements: around one month to the US in the summer, one month in the Caribbean for Christmas & New Year, with additional travel across Europe in yachts and chalets. Travel schedules may change, and flexibility is essential. Ideal Candidate • Proven experience as a Travelling Private Chef.• Previous experience in chalets, villas, and/or yachts is highly desirable.• Strong menu planning and provisioning skills.• Comfortable working independently and as part of an established chef team.• Highly organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure.• Professional, discreet, and reliable.• Right to work in the UK. Working Pattern • UK-based: Thursday–Monday (London or Surrey).• Travel periods: schedule aligned to the family’s itinerary. Package • Long-term, permanent position.• Varied international travel.• Stable, well-structured private household environment.• Collaborative working culture with an existing chef team.• Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience).
