Job Title: Captain – 16m Chase BoatLocation: Italy (Winter Base) | Western Mediterranean (Summer Cruising) Position Overview:We are seeking a professional and experienced Captain to take command of a 16m chase boat supporting a larger yacht operation. The vessel will operate throughout the Western Mediterranean during the summer season, with a winter base in Italy. This is a dynamic, hands-on role suited to a motivated individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and takes pride in maintaining high operational standards. Key Responsibilities: • Safe navigation and operation of the 16m chase boat • Planning and executing itineraries in line with the main vessel’s program • Ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations and safety standards • Overseeing day-to-day engineering checks and systems management onboard • Carrying out routine maintenance and following structured maintenance programs • Coordinating closely with the Captain and crew of the main vessel • Managing fuel, provisioning, and general vessel readiness • Delivering a high standard of guest service when required Candidate Requirements: • Minimum qualification: Yachtmaster 200GT (commercially endorsed) • Preferred qualification: Master 500GT • Strong understanding of marine engineering systems • Proven experience in a similar role on chase boats or small yachts • Ability to work independently while integrating seamlessly with a larger team • Proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving • Strong organisational and communication skills • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic cruising itinerary • Training and mentoring of deckhand Additional Information: • Private yacht with seasonal cruising in the Western Mediterranean • Winter berth based in Italy • Salary €5,500 per month with 42 days paid leave • Opportunity to be part of a professional and well-established yacht program • Start Date - End of April
