## About This role Captain – Private – 30m+ M/Y This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Captain to join a well-run 30m motor yacht operating a single Mediterranean season, based in the Balearic Islands. The role is ideally suited to a Captain currently living in Mallorca who enjoys being actively involved in all aspects of the vessel, from engineering oversight to crew leadership and administration. You will be working closely with management to maintain high operational standards, ensuring smooth day-to-day running while delivering a positive and professional onboard environment. This position requires someone fit, proactive, and comfortable managing a busy summer programme. Start date: ASAP 2026 Itinerary: Mediterranean (Balearic Islands focus) Package: Salary paid in Euros, 38 days’ paid leave Experience/Skills required: • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Captain on similar size yachts• Strong mechanical and engineering knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot independently• Hands-on approach with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset• Fit and energetic, able to handle the demands of a long summer season• Strong leadership and people management skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude• Solid knowledge of Mediterranean cruising grounds, particularly Spain and the Balearics• Confident with budgeting, administration, and general yacht accounting Qualifications required: • Master 200 minimum (500GT preferred)• AEC 1 & 2 preferred• STCW (fully updated)• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate• Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred) Candidates currently based in Mallorca will be given priority.
